The Word Menders Series, created by Liz Kriston, M.S., CCC-SLP, is designed to target specific phonological processes while fostering language and literacy development. These versatile books can be used in therapy or sent home to reinforce the targeted articulatory process or as a literacy-building activity.
Each book is written around a set of minimal pairs that highlight a specific phonological process so children are provided with numerous opportunities to hear and practice the contrasts in a natural context. Flashcards are included with each book that reinforce the contrasts (and store in a handy pocket in inside the back cover).
Word Menders stories are proving to be extremely popular with our fellow SLPs AND with parents.
We are developing new stories as quickly as we can!
